Jeremy Child - Arrow Foundation
Creator   Jeremy Child
Close at  Thursday, 4 March 2010
On September 20th, I will be (attempting to) run the Sydney marathon. My reasons are twofold:
1. To ward off impending middle age, though sadly, injuries throughout training have only reminded me of my mortality; and
2. To raise money for my favourite charity, the Arrow Foundation (http://www.arrow.org.au/). Arrow funds medical research into leukaemia and other diseases treatable by bone marrow transplants. Having had several friends impacted by leukaemia and also seen Arrow's devotion, it's a worthy cause! I'd be grateful if you'd make a donation to Arrow.

You may make a flat rate donation for me simply trying. Donations are tax deductible. Hell, I'll even do your tax return for the right sum!

Sadists among you may prefer to adjust the donation to my time. I'm hoping to do 3hr45mins, so you may donate say $50 plus $2 for every minute under 4 hours? Or $1000 less $5 for every minute over 3 hours. For the right sum, I'll even wear the outfit of your choice (I would consider dressing as the Swedish Chef from the muppets, but draw the line at wearing my kilt (chaffing) or my "Martin Bryant is Innocent" t-shirt). If you fall into the sadist category, email me your proposed formula, and I'll work out your donation after the run.

If the GFC has made things tight, words of encouragement or jars of vaseline always appreciated! Or come join my unique motivation program, repeatedly watching FORREST GUMP and chanting RUN FORREST, RUN...

Thanks so muchJeremy
