The McGrath Foundation is calling on ALL its supporters to participate in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival on September 20 to help the McGrath Foundation raise its target of $100,000!
This amount will help fund a McGrath Breast Care Nurse for a one year period. Our dedicated McGrath Breast Care Nurses provide much-needed support to Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families - plus by running in PINK you are helping to increase breast awareness in the community! If you can't make it to Sydney to walk across the Harbour Bridge on September 20, no worries, you can still help the McGrath Foundation by supporting Glenn raise his personal target of $50, 000. For more information on the McGrath Foundation, and to find out how you can get involved, visit www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au. We are looking forward to meeting all our PINK runners at the McGrath Foundation recovery tent once you've crossed the finish line. Happy running - and always remember that together, we CAN make a difference!
The McGrath Foundation funds McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right around Australia as well as educating young women to be breast aware.
The McGrath Foundation was co-founded by Jane McGrath and Glenn McGrath after Jane's initial recovery from breast cancer. Jane experienced firsthand the shortage of breast care nurses in Australia during her treatment and became determined to help others in her situation. People can nominate to raise money for the McGrath Foundation through GoFundraise or can visit our website to donate directly or to purchase pink merchandise - www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au. Remember, together, we CAN make a difference!
