Our support will enable 88 entrepreneurs living in poverty to establish their own businesses, increase their income and progress in their journey out of poverty.  Our donations to date total an impressive $10,000!

Opportunity provides loans as small as $100, known as microcredit or microloans, to poor entrepreneurs across India, Indonesia and the Philippines.

More about microfinance

Microfinance includes basic financial services - including small loans, savings accounts, fund transfers and insurance. Microfinance assists people living in poverty who wouldn’t usually qualify for regular banking services because they have no form of collateral or formal identification. Alongside credit services, microfinance also offers non-financial services such as business training and healthcare programs.
 
As each business grows, loans are repaid and lent out to the next poor entrepreneur who, inturn, repays the loan, creating a system of truly sustainable development.  Each successful business feeds a family, employs more people and eventually helps to empower whole communities.
