HireMeUp Bridge Run Page
Story
HireMeUp is taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2011 and hoping to raise much needed funds for the Salvation Army's Oasis Youth Support Network - a charity that helps disadvantaged young people get access education, training, job and counselling.
This September, we're going to be sweating it out and doing our best to complete a gruelling, but breathtaking, course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps...
We are honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and we’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
ALL donations you give go directly to charity, so click on DONATE NOW!
Or better yet, donate AND join us on the fun run (or walk!!) Simply register with the Oasis team then send us your confirmation (mail@hiremeup.com.au) and your T-Shirt size! We'll be doing practice laps around the Bay Run, Iron Cove, every Sunday in preparation, plus throwing a team sausage sizzle the Sunday before the race so everyone can pick up their race day T-shirts. For more information, email mail@hiremeup.com.au.
Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference!
Activity
Oasis Youth Support Network
365 days a year, tucked away on Crown Street in Surry Hills, The Salvation Army's Oasis Youth Support Network (Oasis) provides accommodation, education and training to young homeless people aged between 16 and 24 years.
Throughout our network, we strive to provide holistic and innovative best practice programs, inspiring hope and empowering disadvantaged young people to become independent; helping them to move forward with their lives and make positive choices for their futures.
Oasis looks behind the difficult circumstances and behaviours, focussing on strengths and potential. We accept our young people for who they are, no matter where they come from or what they have done – with no exceptions. We never give up.
Thanks again for your amazing support!!
