Only real men run in PINK!
Creator   Glenn McGrath
Close at  Friday, 13 November 2009

It’s that time of year again – the time to get out my pink McGrath Foundation cap and walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to raise money for the McGrath Foundation in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. If you aren’t able to join the McGrath Foundation team by running or walking on the day, we would still love your support.

My goal is to raise $50, 000 for the McGrath Foundation by participating in the Festival. These funds will support the McGrath Foundation in its aim of funding McGrath Breast Care Nurses throughout rural and regional Australia and increasing breast awareness in younger women.

Jane was passionate that all Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer, and their families, should have access to a McGrath Breast Care Nurse and with every dollar donated to the McGrath Foundation, and walk in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival, we are one step closer to achieving this dream.

For more information on the McGrath Foundation and how you can help make a difference, visit our website - www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au.

Always remember that together, we CAN make a difference!

See you at the Festival!

    McGrath Foundation

The McGrath Foundation was co-founded by Jane and Glenn McGrath after Jane’s initial recovery from breast cancer. The McGrath Foundation raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia as well as increasing breast awareness in young women. To date we have placed 68 McGrath Breast Care Nurses  across Australia who together have helped over  10,000 families.

The McGrath Foundation is calling on ALL its supporters to participate  in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival on September 20 to help the McGrath Foundation raise its target of $100,000!

This amount will help fund a McGrath Breast Care Nurse for a one year period. Our dedicated McGrath Breast Care Nurses provide much-needed support to Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families - plus by running in PINK you are helping to increase breast awareness in the community!

If you can't make it to Sydney to walk across the Harbour Bridge on September 20, no worries, you can still help the McGrath Foundation by supporting Glenn raise his personal target of $50, 000.

For more information on the McGrath Foundation, and to find out how you can get involved, visit www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au.

We are looking forward to meeting all our PINK runners at the McGrath Foundation recovery tent once you've crossed the finish line.

Happy running - and always remember that together, we CAN make a difference!
