Ben and Wendy Nason
Ben and Wendy Nason
Story
Fans of AFL club Richmond will know Ben Nason as a speedy midfielder with a huge mop of blonde dreadlocks.
The 21-year-old will take the shearers to his hairdo this week in support of his mother Wendy, a breast cancer sufferer.
The pair is looking to raise as much money as possible for the McGrath Foundation, which aims to place breast care nurses in communities across Australia, and educate young women to become breast aware.
Breast cancer is a disease that currently affects one in nine Australian women of all ages and backgrounds.
Ben’s hair transformation can be seen on the official Richmond Football Club web site, richmondfc.com.au, at midday on Friday May 6.
McGrath Foundation
The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia. Our highly qualified nurses help individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer by providing physical, psychological and emotional support, for free.
From the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment, McGrath Breast Care Nurses are there to help. While over 110,000 families have been supported since 2005, more nurses are needed to meet the growing rate of breast cancer diagnosis in Australia.
With your help, no one misses out on care. Visit www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au to find out more.
