Toon Half Marathon Horror for Shez

Story

A bloke in a pub once told me I was 'built for comfort, not for speed'. It's true. I hate running. In fact pretty much all exercise gets my goat. So you'll understand what a momentous, sweaty and totally hideous prospect attempting the Blackmore’s Sydney Half Marathon is.

But I'm doing it for my good chum Emma, and for her lovely husband Shez who sadly left us for a better place not too long ago.

All funds raised will go to
Kathleen Keegel Children's Fund, which cares for orphans and under-privileged children in Sri Lanka.

The course is vile. Over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps. At the moment, I can just about run to the back of the garden without throwing up. Eek!

I'd really appreciate your support. Please note that ALL donations go DIRECTLY to the charity. So yeah, if you're willing then thank you for your support and helping to make a difference.

KKCF (Kathleen Keegel Children’s Fund)

The Kathleen Keegel Children's Fund (KKCF) is managing a children’s home, kindergarten and an advanced development centre for boys in Sri Lanka.

Our home provides a safe and loving environment for children who have come from backgrounds of abuse and neglect. We currently have 30 children living with us, ranging in age from 6 to 16 years old living. The children attend schools in the local area, have English lessons at the home every day, and take part in music, craft and sports on the weekend.
