STOP GUNNS PULP MILL.
$AVE TASMANIA'S LAST GOOD BIT$.
More ways to bash, mash, mangle and flatten native forests, animals, and watersheds also mean accelerated extinctions, more carbon, less habitat, and even dirtier pollution.
Latest Message: OMGOD!!!! One week, 42.2km, and many hundreds of dollars to go!!!! If you're looking for a good excuse to spend some money on Tasmanian old growth forests - here's your chance!!! Even better - get together with a bunch of friends and pool some cash on the one donation!!1! I am so full of bright ideas about what you can do with your money, eh? Either way, please use this idiot and the Sydney Marathon this weekend as a good excuse to donate a few bucks to commonsense in Tassie. It's not like they don't need it. Srsly.
Second Message: THANKYOU!!! Keep those donations rolling in! I reckon that every $10 donated to TAP will achieve at least as much as $50 donated to bigger branded NGOs, if you want to save big old forest ecosystems, oxygen, and southern oceans, that is.
Just ran the Mt. Wilson to Bilpin bush run on the weekend. 35km of rough 'n' ready fire trails, forest slopes, narrow walking trails, and gravel, dirt, and bitumen roads. It was a fast, hard run, with a 6.5 km uphill just before the end. The local bushfire brigade volunteers put on a great day for everybody, making the whole thing as good as it could be... short of putting out 44 gallon ice buckets for hammered legs.
It's now 4 weeks to the Sydney Marathon and based on how the weekend went, I'm going to try for a finish in the 3'20''s. It's kind of a big goal for only my second marathon, and uninterrupted road has a way of beating you down, but the motivation is good and hopefully training will be too.
please keep on spreading this link around and donating to stop the pulp mill - only 4 weeks to go!
First Message: I'm just a whinging cappuccino-sucking Inner West greenie who hates progress, but I'll bet parts of my anatomy (mainly feet, quads, and stomach) that your donation could really help in the ongoing battle
Your donation will go to frontline Tassie locals fighting a dodgy and unaccountable process on their own doorsteps, vineyards, and fisheries. TAP Into A Better Tasmania (formerly Tasmanians Against the Pulp Mill) do not pay themselves. They are all volunteers. Any funds raised go into funds usefully allocated - campaign materials, scientific studies, statewide polling (like the 14% result that saw former Premier Paul Lennon served his own buttocks on a platter).
Please give however modestly you comfortably can and feel good about it. Thankyou.
