The School of St Jude is a Global Development Group (GDG) supported aid and development project J582 based in Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa . The School of St Jude is a charity funded school that provides free, quality education 1,800 primary, secondary and tertiary students from poor backgrounds. Spread across three campuses, St Jude’s also provides boarding to over 75% of students and employs 300 local Tanzanians. Through sponsors, donors and supporters from around the globe, St Jude’s is fighting poverty through education by providing students with everything required for a quality education; well-resourced facilities like computer and science labs, hot nutritious meals and clean drinking water. St Jude’s is fast becoming a centre of academic excellence that hopes to educate the future leaders of Tanzania. The school also provides professional development training for its academic and non-academic local staff, teaching them the required skills and knowledge to further their own career. 

The School of St Jude is proud to be a partner for Project J582 The School of St Jude, Tanzania th Global Development Group (ABN 57 102 400 993), an Australian DFAT approved Non Government Organisation carrying out quality humanitarian projects with approved partners and providing aid to relieve poverty and provide long term solutions.

Global Development Group takes responsibility of the project according to DFAT rules providing a governance role and assisting in the areas of planning, monitoring, evaluating and auditing to ensure the projects are carried out to DFAT requirements. If projects are overfunded, funds may be directed towards other approved project activities.
