Lutruwita Art Orchestra Inc.

The Lutruwita Art Orchestra develops and performs new musical work based on a fusion of improvisation and established styles from diverse cultures. We are a vibrant, creative contributor to the Lutruwita (Tasmania) music scene, providing opportunities for our diverse members to practice and develop their musical artistry. We foster cultural health and appreciation in an increasingly fractured world. We show respect for the history of Lutruwita through collaboration and deeply embedded partnerships with Palawa and other First Nations artists, Elders, groups and organisations. We use the palawa kani name for Tasmania, which is Lutruwita, with permission from the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.
