Story
The 2017 Great Ocean Roard Ride enables me to combine two of my greatest passions, cycling and giving a hand up to people (& in this case children) en-snared by poverty.
Compassion is an O/seas International Aid Agency with a long history of assisting children caught in the tyranny of poverty in the developing world. Jane and I have been long term contributors to this charity and through this 300+ Km ride, I am attempting to raise upwards of $3000 for the cause. I therefore respectfully ask that you consider assisting me in this great cause by sponsoring my ride.
(Donations over $2 are of course tax deductable).
100% of all monies donated will go directly to the o/seas aid cause ( this year a fresh water project in a very poorly developed village in Ghana). I have paid all my own costs in advance and there are no monies going to the Compassion organisation as their administrative costs are already covered by supporters.
This event is co-ordinated by 25000 Spins, a not-for profit organisation which exists solely to link adventure activities with raising funds for great causes. Beginners and experienced athletes alike are given support in how to train for their activities and to fundraise so that they get to experience an adventure that they wouldn't previously had the opportunity to enjoy.
In return, I will raise valuable funds that go directly towards helping people in poverty.
Please join me on this adventure.
